MESA students Justin Chicaiza, Jada Marte, Carlos Culcay, Yahir Ortiz, Xavier Hertzog, and Anthony Aviles have been attending a new boxing program at Hope Gardens Community Center called LeftHookNYC. This program helps budding boxing champions learn the fundamentals of boxing at NYCHA's Hope Gardens Community Center after school. According to the founder, Ramon Pebenito, the goal is to inspire kids to achieve and develop into champions they may not know they can be in the ring and in life.
Los estudiantes de MESA Justin Chicaiza, Jada Marte, Carlos Culcay, Yahir Ortiz, Xavier Hertzog y Anthony Aviles han estado asistiendo a un nuevo programa de boxeo en Hope Gardens Community Center llamado LeftHookNYC. Este programa ayuda a los campeones de boxeo en ciernes a aprender los fundamentos del boxeo en el Centro Comunitario Hope Gardens de NYCHA después de la escuela.
