SY 25-26 Russian Language Translator (contract)

Specific Responsibilities:

● Translate written student- and family-facing communications, including letters, notices, newsletters, event invitations, and school policies, from English to Russian.

● Ensure translations are clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate for the intended audience.

● Maintain confidentiality of al school- and student-related information.

● Colaborate with school staff to clarify meaning and context when needed.

● Review and edit translations for accuracy, grammar, and readability.

● Provide occasional feedback to school staff on best practices for communication with Russian-speaking families.

Qualifications:

● Available to work as needed: mostly written work with occasional in-person, live verbal translation at events (e.g. Back to School Night)

● Strong organizational ski ls and keen attention to detail.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and Google Workspace

● Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed

● Strong time management ski ls with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

● Demonstrated interest in career services, education, program coordination, or youth development

● Passion for working with high school students and providing career guidance and support

Salary
Hourly rate is $30
